Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care during cardiovascular surgeries, including open heart procedures, in a state-of-the-art hybrid OR suite
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub techs to ensure seamless surgical outcomes
• Maintain a sterile field and manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes during critical moments
• Assist with total joints, general surgery, spine, and urology cases as needed
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring 30-minute response time for emergencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC) - we can help with licensing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of full-time CVOR or OR experience required
• Must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system is a plus
• Ability to take call and float occasionally (rare, but may assist with non-clinical tasks)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for high-stakes environments
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
• Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities during fast-paced surgeries
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment specific to open heart cases
