Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a LDRP setting
Circulate in the OR for Cesarean sections and assist with surgical procedures
Monitor fetal heart tracings using GE and OBIX systems and respond to changes
Titrate Pitocin and other drips as ordered, ensuring safe administration
Perform couplet care, supporting mother-baby bonding and education
Float between L&D, postpartum, and mother-baby units as needed
Participate in charge nurse duties when assigned, maintaining unit flow
Collaborate with surgical techs and other team members to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

2+ years of recent LDRP experience required
Must have experience with couplet care and circulating in OR
Active RN license in Kansas or compact license accepted
Willingness to float between units and take call as needed per policy
Completion of orientation and interview with MedSol Clinical Team

Knowledge & Skills

LDRP nursing including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
Circulating in the OR for C-sections
Fetal monitoring interpretation (Intermediate Fetal Monitoring)
Pitocin titration and IV drip management
EPIC charting system proficiency
ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
