Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in our 12-bed CVICU unit
• Monitor and manage complex drips including Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, Neo, Epi, Levo, Insulin, and Cardene
• Operate advanced equipment such as IABP, CRRT, and Impella while caring for fresh open-heart surgery patients
• Collaborate with intensivists, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Float as needed to ICU, PCU, MS, or Tele units to support hospital-wide care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open-heart surgery patients
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in titrating vasoactive and sedative drips
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with floating to other units as needed
