Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Every other weekend with potential float to sister facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret EKGs to detect changes in patient condition
Provide expert nursing care to neuro and cardiopulmonary patients, including stroke and CVA management
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Perform neuro assessments and manage patients on Airvo/High Flow oxygen therapy
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in telemetry or neuro nursing (within past 6 months)
Active and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam passed within 24-48 hours prior to start (max 2 attempts)
Ability to interpret EKGs and manage central telemetry monitoring
Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
Neuro assessment and stroke care
EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm management
Patient care in acute care setting
Cerner electronic health record proficiency
Strong communication and teamwork skills
