Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 1830-0700, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care to cardiovascular patients in a 18-bed stepdown unit
Titrate and manage IV drips such as amiodarone, nitroglycerin, epinephrine, and other cardiac medications
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists on call
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Conduct patient assessments and document in EPIC
Support post-surgical patients with 1:3 ratios in the first 24 hours

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular stepdown or ICU setting
Ability to titrate drips and interpret telemetry
Must pass open book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titration of cardiac medications
Proficient in EPIC charting system
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
