Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 1830-0700, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate drips, and manage continuous EEG monitoring
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Educate patients and families on conditions and recovery plans
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or stepdown experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
Proficiency with EPIC charting system
Valid driver's license for identification purposes

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate cardiac and seizure medications
Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate care for adult and geriatric populations
