Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Manage and titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips with confidence
Closely monitor patients on telemetry and interpret rhythm strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and healthcare support
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Assist with procedures such as post-stent, pacemaker placement, and stroke care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Driver's license required for radius verification
EPIC charting experience preferred
Willingness to adhere to facility's fingernail policy (no artificial nails)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Strong understanding of trauma, cardiac, and sepsis care
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to different units and patient populations
