Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-17-2026

End Date: 09-16-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; occasional day 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; weekend rotation every 3rd weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide acute inpatient physical therapy to a diverse patient population including general medical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
Cover Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units as needed
Treat approximately 12 patients per day with personalized care plans
Collaborate with the Rehab Services Manager and multidisciplinary team
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year acute inpatient PT experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute care, including orthopedics, neurology, and general medical conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation
Time management and organizational skills
Commitment to evidence-based practice
