Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, outcomes-driven occupational therapy services across a diverse acute-care caseload including neurological, behavioral health, orthopedic, post-surgical, and critical care patients
• Accurately document patient care and progress using a web-based EMR system to ensure continuity and compliance
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and self-management strategies to maximize recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet clinical, departmental, and regulatory standards
• Provide personalized, one-on-one care and build long-term therapeutic relationships
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and participation in team learning opportunities
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Degree from a CAOTE accredited school in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• New grads and experienced clinicians are welcome
• Proficiency with web-based EMR systems and strong documentation skills
• Excellent communication, time management, and flexibility
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a team
• Commitment to clinical/regulatory standards and continuing education

Education

• Degree from a CAOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational Therapy clinical skills across acute care settings
• Neurological rehabilitation techniques
• Behavioral health interventions and strategies
• Orthopedic and post-surgical care approaches
• Critical care experience and safe patient handling
• Patient and family education best practices
• EMR systems proficiency and accurate documentation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication, time management, teamwork, and adaptability
