Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Conduct interview-based evaluations and carry out focused physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Document findings clearly and submit timely, accurate examination reports and any required addendums or medical opinions
• Complete required training and onboarding to ensure compliance with VES processes
• Respect the non-treatment scope of these exams — no prescribing or ongoing clinical treatment
• Coordinate with VES for scheduling, credentialing, and case logistics to provide seamless Veteran care

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) — clinical title as listed
• Experience or comfort with Compensation & Pension exams, non-treatment medical evaluations, or general medicine evaluations
• Familiarity with interview-based clinical assessments and focused physical exam techniques such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Willingness to complete required VES training and onboarding prior to conducting exams
• Ability to provide local coverage (within a 50-mile radius of the listed city) or to see Veterans in your own private office when requested

• General medicine and non-treatment medical evaluation expertise
• Compensation & Pension (C&P) exam workflows and documentation
• Interview-based clinical assessment skills
• Hands-on physical assessment skills: range of motion testing and muscle strength testing
• Clear, concise medical record documentation and report-writing
• Ability to follow structured onboarding and credentialing processes
