Roles & Responsibilities

Welcome patients with a warm, professional presence and help them feel at ease
Collect vital signs, perform basic clinical tasks, and prepare patients for the provider
Assist with ambulatory care procedures and ensure proper documentation in the chart
Manage specimen collection and handling according to facility protocols
Communicate clearly with the care team to coordinate patient flow and follow-up
Maintain a clean, safe exam room environment and follow infection control practices
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, phone triage, and registration when needed

Qualifications

Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred or equivalent training
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or willing to obtain
Comfortable working in an ambulatory/clinic environment and completing short AM shifts
Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent patient care
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to participate in orientation

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency taking vitals, rooming patients, and basic clinical procedures
Experience or comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
Phlebotomy and specimen handling knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with ambulatory clinic workflows and appointment management
Good infection control practices and attention to detail
