Medical Assistant - Ambulatory

Location: Spokane, WA

Start Date: 04-23-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Morning (AM) ambulatory, 4-hour shift. Specific start and end times and days to be confirmed; orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Greet and check in ambulatory patients with warmth and professionalism
Take and record vital signs accurately and document findings
Prepare patients and assist clinicians during exams and minor procedures
Administer injections and perform routine clinical tasks within scope of practice
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and restock necessary supplies
Update electronic health records and assist with patient scheduling and follow up

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant preferred, or equivalent clinical training
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic setting and supporting a team
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass background and credentialing checks as required by facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills including vital signs, injections and patient prep
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse patients
Time management and the ability to keep a fast-paced ambulatory clinic on track
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and supply levels
