Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and build trusting relationships with patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with RNs and the care team to develop and follow patient care plans
- Perform skilled nursing tasks and assist with activities of daily living
- Maintain clear, accurate charting and handoff communication for continuity of care
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina LPN license required
- BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Preferred: 1+ year of practical nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Comfortable working the night shift hours listed
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program (Diploma or Certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Solid patient assessment and monitoring abilities
- Basic wound care and dressing change knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management
- Patient-centered approach and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
