Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric clinic patients following established standards and within LPN scope of practice
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, clinic staff and providers to ensure coordinated care
- Take and interpret vital signs, perform patient assessments, and document clinical findings accurately
- Triage patient calls, prioritize care needs, and escalate to providers or RN as appropriate
- Manage medication tasks including refills and medication management support
- Complete prior authorizations to keep patient treatments moving without delays
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care plans and clinic operations
- Provide direction to CNAs and Schedulers and follow direction from Providers, Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors and RNs
Qualifications
- Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing)
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Comfortable performing pediatric assessments and triage
- Experience with medication refills and prior authorization processes preferred
- Able to work full-time Monday–Friday in a clinic setting
Education
- Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric nursing fundamentals and child-friendly communication
- Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical assessment
- Triage skills for phone and in-clinic patient assessment
- Medication management and prescription refill workflow
- Prior authorization processes and documentation
- Team collaboration and ability to direct CNAs and Schedulers
