Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Days not specified)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse on assigned shifts
Administer medications and treatments safely and document in the patient record
Perform accurate patient assessments and report changes promptly to the care team
Assist with wound care, dressing changes and other nursing procedures within LPN scope
Collaborate with RNs, physicians and support staff to coordinate excellent patient care
Maintain clear, timely documentation and uphold facility policies and compliance standards
Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

Current LPN license (active and in good standing) — required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior LPN clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or vocational nursing certificate/diploma

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation
Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
Wound care fundamentals and dressing changes
Electronic health record charting and clinical documentation
Infection control practices and patient safety
Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
