Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with daily living activities that make a real difference
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while promoting dignity and independence
• Monitor and document resident condition and behavior, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices with patience and encouragement
• Create a warm, respectful environment by building rapport with residents and their families
• Follow facility protocols, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid LNA or T-LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) — required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed LNA/T-LNA certification program

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADL) assistance and safety techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good observational skills to identify changes in resident condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to build trust quickly
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with RNs and CNAs
