Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide interim supervisory support to the Birthing Center Manager to ensure continuity of operations
• Oversee daily patient care delivery and serve as a clinical resource on the unit
• Implement and reinforce established policies, clinical protocols, and procedures
• Deliver staff education, orientation support, and competency validation as needed
• Promote and monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Serve as an operational and clinical liaison between staff and leadership during the assignment
• Participate in the nursing rotation and ensure smooth handoffs and unit coverage

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current BLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or C-EFM) required
• NRP Instructor certification required
• Minimum of five years of Obstetrics Nursing and Neonatal experience
• Prior leadership / supervisory experience preferred
• Bilingual capabilities helpful

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in staff supervision and clinical operational support
• Experience with patient care delivery in labor & delivery and neonatal settings
• Expertise in competency validation, staff education, and orientation
• Ability to implement policy, protocol and promote safety & quality compliance
• Excellent communication and professional presentation skills
• Comfortable operating clinical equipment and performing technical procedures
