Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening/night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the clinical team
Document care and resident status accurately and timely in the record
Support meal assistance and dietary needs while encouraging dignity and choice
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to create a comfortable, safe environment

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or equivalent required
CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
Maryland certification or eligibility preferred
Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and required facility onboarding

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills and hands-on experience with activities of daily living
Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
Reliable documentation and time-management habits
Compassion, patience and cultural sensitivity when caring for older adults
