Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and stabilization of acute and critical conditions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage treatments per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up needs
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous emergency department or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency assessment and rapid decision-making
• Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with ER workflows, triage principles, and patient prioritization
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
