Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging for trauma and acute care patients with accuracy and compassion
• Operate and troubleshoot Siemens AS DEF 128 equipment and ensure proper image acquisition
• Independently manage all aspects of CT/X-ray workflow while maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Respond quickly and professionally within a Level 3 Trauma center environment
• Maintain accurate records, document procedures, and communicate findings to the care team
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness and QA logs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians to prioritize emergent imaging needs

Qualifications

• Current radiologic technologist certification (ARRT or equivalent) preferred
• State licensure or eligibility to be licensed in Hawaii
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Proven CT and X-ray experience, including trauma imaging in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with Siemens imaging systems, specifically Siemens AS DEF 128
• Ability to work independently and confidently in a Level 3 Trauma center
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate under pressure

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in CT and X-ray imaging techniques and protocols
• Trauma imaging and rapid assessment workflows
• Operation and basic troubleshooting of Siemens AS DEF 128 systems
• Radiation safety principles and QA procedures
• Patient positioning, contrast administration basics, and image optimization
• Ability to prioritize urgent studies and communicate effectively with ED teams
