Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI procedures at a professional tech level, following established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment, including C-arm and OR imaging, to support surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Practice and champion radiation safety (ALARA) to protect patients and staff.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when manufacturer maintenance is required.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure and supply charging.
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding, comfort, and cooperation.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when needed to keep the clinic running smoothly.
• Train, assist, and cross-train imaging staff members to support a collaborative team environment.
• Order, stock, and manage supply inventory to ensure continuous operations.
• Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and all required training.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Required: ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI qualifications.
• Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug screen (and breath alcohol test if applicable).
• Preferred: Two (2) years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI experience.
• Preferred: Cross-training or experience in other modalities such as DEXA and Mammography.
• Preferred: Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS and other electronic health record systems.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT and MRI image acquisition and protocol adherence.
• Skilled in X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging techniques.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection control procedures.
• Comfortable using PACS, RIS/HIS, and EHR systems; experienced with procedure charging workflows.
• Able to troubleshoot equipment and determine when to escalate to service engineers.
• Excellent patient communication, education, and bedside manner.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across teams.
