Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Provide compassionate hands-on care while preserving dignity and independence
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
Work as part of the care team to create a warm, home-like environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) — required
Comfortable with direct resident care and safe lifting/transfers
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations (as required by facility)
Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, new CNAs encouraged to apply

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living
Basic vital signs measurement and observation reporting
Infection control and proper PPE use
Comfortable with documentation and clear shift-to-shift communication
Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans
