Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers and positioning to promote safety and comfort
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments following infection control practices
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification active in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic charting
