Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to prevent falls and injuries
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Support a positive patient experience through respectful, patient-focused communication
Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification required in the state of Pennsylvania
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or GED preferred
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
Background check and drug screen clearance as required by facility
Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
State-certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care procedures and infection control
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable with charting and basic documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Empathy, patience, and a positive bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
