Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living with compassion and dignity
Perform vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and timely documentation
Support nursing staff by following care plans and reporting changes
Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care team members
Contribute to a positive team culture by being reliable and proactive

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required) - current in the state of Connecticut
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or as required by facility
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing as required by the facility
Compassionate patient-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills such as vital signs, infection control, and ADL assistance
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Observation skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
Time management and reliable documentation practices
Comfort working in long term care or skilled nursing environments
