Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
Support meal assistance and accurate documentation of intake and output
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

Active CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Reliable, punctual, and able to perform physical aspects of the role

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing care techniques and resident hygiene assistance
Charting and documentation best practices
Infection control and safety protocols
Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
