Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, mobility and toileting safely
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and care notes
- Support a clean and safe environment following infection control practices
- Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
- Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights with empathy and professionalism
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification or completion of an approved CNA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable working in a long-term/post-acute care environment; team player attitude
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in basic resident care and ADLs
- Ability to take and accurately report vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of resident rights, dignity, and privacy principles
