Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care to support daily living activities
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Document care provided clearly and promptly in patient records
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
Active state CNA certification valid in California
CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility)
Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with ADLs
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per-diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Basic clinical documentation and charting skills
Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative healthcare team
