Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion.
• Provide safe and attentive mobility assistance, transfers, and positioning.
• Monitor and record basic patient vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff.
• Support mealtime assistance and observe dietary needs/preferences.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility procedures to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of California (required).
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Clear background check and ability to pass required onboarding screenings.
• Friendly, patient-centered attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer methods.
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills.
• Understanding of infection prevention and proper PPE use.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families.
• Ability to follow care plans, report observations, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical setting.
