Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile instrumentation and supplies for a wide range of surgical cases
• Assist surgeons intraoperatively across specialties including orthopedics (total joints), neuro/spine, robotics, urology, GYN, ENT, and plastics
• Set up and operate or support robotics platforms such as Exactech, Mako, Stealth, and DaVinci during cases
• Ensure strict sterile technique and infection control during all phases of patient care
• Participate in rotating call coverage and respond promptly to emergent surgical needs at a Level III trauma center
• Collaborate with perioperative team members to optimize workflow, patient safety, and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license with DORA required — do not submit without it
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program
• Hands-on experience with orthopedics (total joints), neuro/spine, robotics, urology, GYN, ENT, and plastics
• Comfortable participating in a rotating call schedule
• Experience in a Level III trauma center is a plus

• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in operating room procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Experience with robotics platforms: Exactech, Mako, Stealth, DaVinci
• Strong situational awareness in high-acuity and trauma settings
• Ability to assist across multiple surgical specialties and adapt quickly
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced OR environments
