Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support patient mobility and transfer safely using proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control procedures
• Document care accurately in electronic or paper charting systems
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team to promote patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or ability to obtain) — state-appropriate credentials required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings, background check, and immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling needs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and basic patient care
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety
• Basic charting skills; familiarity with EHRs is a plus
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow nursing care plans
