Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Measure, record and report vital signs and other clinical observations accurately
Assist nursing team with safe patient transfers and mobility support
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient condition
Observe and promptly communicate changes in patient status to the nursing team
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility procedures consistently
Support residents’ dignity, comfort and emotional needs through respectful interactions

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Reliable, punctual, and committed to compassionate patient care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control practices and proper PPE use
Basic documentation and charting of care
Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and teamwork
