Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, ambulation, and safe mobility
Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ condition and vital signs
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and the care team
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies consistently
Support individualized care plans and participate in team huddles and shift reports

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and basic nursing skills (ADLs, transfers, hygiene)
Competency in taking and documenting vital signs
Good communication and teamwork skills
Time management and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Awareness of infection control and safety best practices
