Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, behaviors, and changes in condition
• Assist licensed nursing staff with treatments, transfers, and safe mobilization
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and patients
• Communicate clearly with the care team and families to support coordinated care
• Support rehabilitation and restorative programs under nursing direction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with resident lifting/transfers and basic patient care tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene, bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe transfer techniques and use of mobility aids
• Documentation and charting accuracy
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and ability to de-escalate challenging situations
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
