Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while promoting independence
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support implementation of individualized care plans and document care accurately
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Observe and report behavioral or clinical changes to ensure timely interventions

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• State-required background checks and clear health screenings as applicable
• Compassionate patient-centered attitude with strong communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and work well in a team
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or available through employer-sponsored training

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care standards and basic nursing procedures
• Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and fall prevention
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Strong observational skills and ability to communicate changes to nurses
• Time management and dependable attendance for scheduled shifts
