Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine patient checks and accurately document vitals and observations
• Support safe and comfortable transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans precisely
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any changes in resident condition
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and the care team to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role including assisting with transfers
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Competent in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic infection control and safety protocols
• Strong observational skills and accurate documentation practices
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and direction from RNs/LPNs
