Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days of week not specified; per-diem shifts)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care – assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support the nursing team with safe patient transfers and positioning
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly with patients and families to ensure dignity and respect
Document care accurately in assigned systems and follow facility policies

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (must meet state requirements)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Prior experience as a CNA or in long-term care is a plus
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
