Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility while promoting patient independence
• Observe and communicate changes in patient condition to the clinical team
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and follow care plans
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) or eligibility to become certified
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health clearance requirements
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Flexible availability that can include nights and weekends

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Vital signs measurement and basic documentation
• Infection prevention, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic medical terminology and ability to follow care plans
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with patients and staff
