Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility safely
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition, including vital signs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to follow individualized care plans
• Communicate respectfully with residents and families to support emotional needs
• Help create a comfortable, dignified environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
• Current basic health requirements as per facility (immunizations, TB screen)
• Willingness to complete facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer/lift techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Infection prevention and universal precautions
• Care documentation and timely charting
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work independently during night shifts
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
