Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / Variable days, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerning changes to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and proper transfers, using body mechanics and approved equipment
Provide attentive, respectful patient care while documenting observations in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to promote coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active state CNA listing or licensure as applicable to Pennsylvania
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or equivalent
Background check and immunizations as required by the facility
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work well in a team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA training program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
