Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention measures
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control and facility safety protocols consistently
• Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver person-centered care
• Help create a respectful, dignified environment for residents and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain if required
• Complete required background checks and immunizations
• Comfortable working evening shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with resident-centered care and dignity-focused approaches
• Teamwork and effective communication with nursing staff and families
• Basic charting and documentation skills
