Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support
- Document patient care accurately and timely in charting systems
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
- Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Comfort working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift on a per diem basis
- Comfortable assisting with personal care, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous resident or patient care experience preferred but motivated newcomers welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and resident observation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Accurate charting and documentation practices
- Infection prevention and safety procedures
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
