Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Provide compassionate, person-centered care and emotional support
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Accurately document care provided and resident responses
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Ability to work per-diem evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility needs
Willingness to complete required facility orientation, background check, and immunizations as needed
CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic documentation and charting skills
Infection control and safety practices
Effective communication with residents, families, and team members
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
