Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding with dignity and respect
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team and families to support resident needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies and infection control practices
- Contribute to a positive, safe environment and advocate for resident comfort and safety
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required) — must be valid in New Mexico
- Demonstrated ability to work overnight shifts and provide consistent resident care
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled at assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
- Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and clear communication with residents and staff
