Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patients
- Quickly assess and triage patient needs to prioritize lifesaving interventions
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and promptly
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Maintain readiness for rapid changes in patient condition in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) — required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for ER settings
- Previous emergency department or acute care experience preferred
- Comfortable with fast-paced environments and high-acuity patients
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and prioritization
- Proficient in medication administration and emergency interventions
- Able to manage multiple patients while maintaining safety and quality
- Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Familiarity with infection control and emergency department workflows
