Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and proactively report changes
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Ensure a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication
• Respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-required) — active and in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous CNA experience preferred; new grads who completed training welcome
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible per-diem schedules
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of basic patient care procedures and infection control
• Proficient with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
• Good observational skills to notice subtle changes in patient condition
• Basic computer/EMR documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
