Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry tracings and quickly identify changes in cardiac rhythms
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly in the medical record
• Respond to alarms and urgent situations with calm, decisive action
• Educate patients and families about condition, monitoring, and care plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience caring for telemetry patients and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficient patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Teamwork, clear communication, and patient-centered care mindset
