Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on the MST unit
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and document interventions in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and safe patient handoffs during shift changes

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Telemetry/med-surg experience strongly preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing best practices
• IV therapy and medication administration
• Patient assessment, critical thinking, and triage
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
