Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to rhythm changes with urgency and clinical judgment
• Perform focused patient assessments and document findings clearly and timely
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments per orders and protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about condition, monitoring, and discharge instructions in an approachable way
• Escalate concerns and participate in rapid response or code situations when needed
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (or compact license where applicable)
• Experience in telemetry nursing or progressive care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Comfortable working night shifts and on a per diem schedule

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability to interpret cardiac monitor rhythms and trends
• Skilled in patient assessment, cardiac care, and medication administration
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients and care teams
• Strong situational awareness and critical thinking under pressure
