Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and a warm bedside manner
• Assist providers during urology procedures and help maintain a smooth workflow
• Perform patient triage, assess concerns, and escalate appropriately
• Educate patients on conditions, procedures, and post-care instructions so they leave informed
• Coordinate patient scheduling and procedure logistics to keep care on track
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR (Epic) and support the Athena→Epic transition
• Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain a safe, efficient ambulatory clinic environment

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years RN Clinic/Ambulatory Urology experience required
• Epic experience required; familiarity with Athena is a plus (clinic converts to Epic end of April)
• Nursys license verification/documentation requested with application
• Comfortable working full-time in an ambulatory clinic and supporting patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient triage and ambulatory clinic workflows
• Assisting with urology procedures and specimen handling
• Patient education and post-procedure instructions
• Clinic check-in/registration and patient scheduling/coordination
• Proficiency with Epic (required) and familiarity with Athena (preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic
